What exactly am I signing for at UniversityCash?
  By signing up with UniversityCash program you can start earning dollars for the college organization of your choice just by purchasing at over 500 participating vendors. Through UniversityCash program the merchants will rebate a percentage of your purchases to the organization of your choice at no cost or detriment to you. Please remember when purchasing online to start at UniversityCash.com site. For more information on how it works click here.

  Is my personal information secure?  
  UniversityCash values your privacy and security. Safeguarding this information is one of our priorities.
 
 
  Any page that requires you to log in to gain access is secure. This includes your UniversityCash account that contains your personally identifiable information.
  If you leave the UniversityCash site by clicking on any links provided, UniversityCash is no longer responsible for your security.
  Certain areas of UniversityCash site are available to the general public and are not secure, due to the fact that no personal information is being stored. For example, the How It Works pages do not require any exchange of information, so there are no security risks on these pages.
 
  UniversityCash does not sell, license, exchange or distribute any specific information about the participants in its program to any third parties who are not directly involved in the UniversityCash program. For more information please read UniversityCash Privacy Policy.

  How does the college/organization I designate receive the rebates I earned through the UniversityCash program?  
  Every quarter your college organization receives a check or an electronic deposit into its bank account from UniversityCash. This deposit will include rebates earned by all supporters for all the causes listed under a respective College Category. It is your College Category Fundraising Leader's responsibility to distribute the funds raised from supporters to each individual college/organization or cause listed under his or her category. The Leader has online access to aggregate reports of donations. UniversityCash will also mail aggregate donation reports to Leaders.

  How can I enroll my college or college/organization in the UniversityCash Program?  
  To enroll your organization please send us a request through Contact Us page or send an email to info@universitycash.com with the name of your college organization and your contact information. A UniversityCash representative will contact you within 48 hours. We can customize causes according to your college organization's fundraising needs.

  Can I see reports of my donations?  
  By login into My Account area, you will be able to access monthly reports of your purchases at participating merchants and service providers and the respective donations earned. There will be an approximately 60-day delay between the purchases and postings to allow the merchants to handle most returns and cancelled orders.

  Can friends, family, faculty, staff or alumni across the country register with UniversityCash program?  
  Yes, we encourages friends, family, faculty, staff and alumni whether local or across the country to register with our program. Our merchants and service providers are available nation wide therefore location is not an issue.

  How do I invite family and friends to support my college organization?  
  You can invite your family and friends to support your college and cause of your choice through our Tell Others section online just by typing their email address. An automatic informational email will be send on your behalf with your comments added to the email.

  Can I support more than one college organization?  
  Yes, you can support more than one college, however we recommend to support no more than two or three causes as the donations become too diluted. The donations will be divided equally between college organizations or causes. To add or delete causes just go to the My Account area and select My Supported Causes. There you can see your currently supported causes as well as add or delete causes.

  Why do I need to go through the UniversityCash website to get the merchants rebates? Why can I not go directly to the merchants site?  
  By shopping through UniversityCash.com site merchants will be able to identify you as a member of the UniversityCash program and accurately track and report your contributions.

  What merchants are participating in the UniversityCash program?  
  UniversityCash.com has registered over 500 merchants. You can view them by Categories or, to view a complete list of merchants in alphabetical order go to Show All Merchants or click here.

  Will other merchants be added to the merchant lists?  
  UniversityCash will continue to contract with both online and offline merchants from all categories throughout the United States. Please check often our site for updates and/or sign up here to receive our newsletter and promotions via email.

  Why am I encountering problems when shopping through UniversityCash.com site?  
  There is a good chance that your browser is not accepting cookies. Below is a guide on how to set your browser to accept cookies:  
 
On a PC:
  For Netscape:
  Go to Edit in your menu bar at the top of your browser window.
  Select Preferences.
  Select the Advanced option.
  A new window will open with Cookies as one of the preferences.
  Select Accept All Cookies.
  Click OK.
  Go back to the UniversityCash site and select Refresh on your browser.
     
  For Internet Explorer 3.0, 4.0:
  Go to View in your menu bar at the top of your browser window.
  Select Internet Options.
  Select the Advanced tab.
  Go to the Cookies sections and select Always Accept Cookies.
  Click OK.
  Go back to the UniversityCash site and select Refresh on your browser.
     
  For Internet Explorer 5.0:
  Go to Tools in your menu bar at the top of your browser window.
  Select Internet Options.
  Select the Security tab.
  Select the Custom Level button.
  Go to the Cookies section and select Enable for cookies to be stored.
  Click OK in both the Custom Level and Internet Options windows.
  Go back to the UniversityCash site and select Refresh on your browser.
 
     
 
On a Mac:
  For Netscape:

  Select Preferences.

  Select Preferences.
  Go the Receive Files section.
  Select Cookies.
  At the When Received option, select Never Ask.
  Click OK.

  What is the process of redeeming coupons, discounts or gift certificates?  
  Please follow the directions indicated on the coupon, discount or gift certificate. Each merchant has his/her own policy. Just remember to always start from UniversityCash website. Gift certificates may not earn you a rebate.

  I forgot to start from UniversityCash online when I shopped to a participating merchant. Can I still earn a rebate for my organization?  
  Unfortunately the only way to earn rebates when shopping online to participating merchants and service providers is to start from UniversityCash website and click to the merchant website from a link on our site. It is the only way we can track eligible online purchases.

  Why is the amount on my credit card different that the amount on my online report?  
  Most merchants exclude from rebates other charges such as gift wrapping, shipping and handling, sales tax or gift certificates. The reporting is based on gross sales only, excluding these other charges. Additionally some stores may exclude purchases such as alcohol and tobacco from your rebate.

  What happens if I shop at UniversityCash merchants and do not choose to benefit a college organization?  
  If you shop at UniversityCash merchants and do not choose an organization to benefit, the rebates earned go to UniversityCash scholarship fund. However we strongly recommend you choose to support a college organization, whether local or one that a friend or family attends.

  Are my purchases or donations generated tax deductible?  
  Your purchases are not tax deductible. The donations are made by the merchants based on your purchases, therefore you may not deduct the donations.

  Why does UniversityCash use cookies?  
  One important use of cookies is to validate your identity while you are logged in to the UniversityCash site. If your browser does not accept cookies, you will be unable to enroll or log in to our program. You will, however, be able to browse our site as a visitor. The information UniversityCash collects from cookies and web server logs is used to administer the web service and customize information you receive when visiting our site. You can rest assured that we are not using cookies to send information about you to other websites. The cookies placed on your computer will only be read by UniversityCash and will never be sent to another web server. Read UniversityCash Privacy Policy for more information.

  Can I use a public computer?  
  Yes, you can use a public computer.When using a public computer please remember to logout and then to select the Clear Settings choice to remove all the University Cash settings from the computer.

  What are the system requirements for the UniversityCash website?  
  Browser requirements:
The UniversityCash program is developed for use with the most common browsers. Supported browsers are Netscape version 4.0 or later (due to Netscape 6.0 instability, the site may not perform optimally and consistently), and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later, running on Microsoft Windows or Macintosh platforms. You must have SSL (Secure Socket Layer) enabled to enroll and log in, because we use SSL security to protect private data on our site. Your browser must accept cookies in order to enroll or log in to our service. We also recommend that JavaScript be enabled, for two reasons: (1) it is required to use the calculators, and (2) our site uses JavaScript to provide enhanced error-checking and navigation experience. For questions on these and other browser features, please consult your browser's documentation or contact your Internet Service Provider.
 
     
  Internet access:
You must have access to the Internet through an Internet Service Provider to use the UniversityCash service. If you are having problems accessing portions of UniversityCash, please contact your Internet Service Provider or corporate network administrator.
 
     
  Internet Access - Technical Information for Network Administrators: The UniversityCash service works via direct browser access or through proxy servers. Your browsers or proxy servers must be configured to allow both secure (SSL port 443) and insecure (HTTP port 80) access to the UniversityCash service.

  Is there any cost or obligation?  
  There is no cost and no obligation whatsoever to enroll a college organization or sign up any supporters.

  What causes can my college organization support?  
  Each college organization can support any cause or college organization or program that is education related. UniversityCash will aggregate and distribute donations to the coordinator. It is the coordinators responsibility to check donation reports online and distribute funds raised according to each organizations rules. We reserve the right to refuse to make part of the UniversityCash program causes that are related to inappropriate activities.

  When will we be receiving money?  
  Direct deposits or checks are sent quarterly as long as they exceed $100. There will be a delay of approximately 60 days between purchases and donations. This allows merchants to handle returns. Also please keep in mind that most merchants require a rebate accumulation of $25 to $100 before they sent us a check.

  Will the participating in UniversityCash program affect our organizations non-profit status?  
  The program is set to be run by volunteers in your college/organization. The donations made by merchants should not affect your organizations non-profit status, however we do recommend you consult with a tax professional.

  Can we thank our supporters?  
  Supporters have a choice to share their personal information with fundraising Leaders. Leaders have access only to contact information of supporters who chose to share their personal information with the Fundraising Leader.
